why is the ick in my fish keep coming back?

I dont seem to be doing anything wrong with them. They dont get any obvious stress: they are fed regularly and never too much, there's never too many fish in the tank, the temperature is always good, the water is kept clean, theres no real plants. Yet every time i try to get a tank going, i have fish for few weeks and all of a sudden they start all getting it and get wiped out. I got different species, always making sure they're compatible, yet same thing keeps on happening.

it has really become heartbreaking [not to mention a waste of money]. I've read all about treating it and stuff, but is there something im missing or not doing?? Please someone let me know.

[[as of right now i had 4 blood parrots, two died, and two i moved away to a different tank. AFTER the fish were all removed, few hours later the water doesnt seem to me to be as clear as it should be. ]]

i know most of my problems with ich has all came form petco. if you add new fish and they already have ich, your fish end up with it. the only advise i would give is buy a smallish quarantine tank and set it up. i know having 2 fish tanks is a little expensive but thats the only way to prevent diseases from spreading (also use it for new plants and accessories)

good luck try and get ur fish from a breeder rather then a big chain pet stores. quality is usually better.
