Why is the chat bar hidden on FaceBook?

Whenever I click the home tab the bottom bar goes away, even if I'm chatting to someone. I tried logging out and all that jazz. How can I fix this?

Yeah, that's happening to me today too.
It reappears whenever you go back to your/anyone's profile though.

i guess the problem from facebook i also have the same proplem today.
