I am mexican American and I go to an all japanese college in Japan and tuition is about 5000$ a year.
All my friends tell me how expensive college is in america comepared to other countries and all i can think about is Why?
America is full of crime, very boring, gangs everywhere, drugs everywhere, and did I mention Boring, there is nothing to do that offers much fun, and public transportation is horrible. One friend of mine told me he went to a college in Iowa and it was so expensive and there was nothing to do but surrounded by farms.
In Osaka Japan I live on the 7th floor ,There is lots of shopping arcades, and game centers and well dressed skinny people outside, There is a 1 dollar shop open 24 hours right next to me that I go to often, lots of bakeries, and cafes and lots of bars around, I ride my bicycle to get anywhere I want, and its really safe everywhere too.
I feel safe every day and night and thats what I care for most.
also in my dormitory my apartment costs 500$ a month and it includes breakfast and dinner 6 days a week.
why doesnt america take care of there students more? college seems liek such a rip-off in the USA eversince I came to japan and compare here to there.
