people still do not realize that an environmental disaster is round the corner in less than 200 years which may wipe out human race. they do not realize that nuclear war possibility is there like Democles' sword above our head.Earth is becoming like a leaky boat helpless on the high seas. still people quarrel old timeworn things which are 5000 years old and 10000 years old.

and is this a mystical, magical revelation? Dont spew your apocalyptic nonsense, your rant, in the philosophy section. You want to live in paranoid fear, you leave the rest of us out of it.

Until people drop the idea of possession, ownership, wealth and power over your neighbors... until resources are in abundance for all... until the necessities of life are free and not commodities... people will continue to fight one another. Even capitalist "peace" is still a greedy fight for financial supremacy, with no real purpose. People are animals and they are no better. I doubt sometimes they ever will be.

But "mother nature" will not spite us. We have lived in greater fear and warmongering in years past than we do today in the modern world. We have survived countless billions of years, and we will surely survive the next 200 with technology at our disposal.

It's a tribal thing, which has grown in proportion to our so called civilisations. It's human nature to only trust those closest, and to fear those most culturally different. We have evolved to be hostile to those we regard as a threat, as it is with other species; and humans can go to far greater extremes with weapons of mass destruction. Life is hostile to life. With humans it's it's all very natural to be hostile to other humans, and even other species just because we can. Life evolves by the survival of the fittest, and humans are such a new species among many other longer serving survivors. We may not survive our own stupidity, and prove once and for all we are not as clever as we think we are. Intelligence may be a short lived peculiarity of natural selection, doomed to destroy itself. Only time will tell.
