Why is stanford university not considered the best university by U.S. News

reports (For Undergrads)?.? I do not think there is a single subject they are week in. Harvard is considered the best, however they engineering program is awful compared to Stanford's.

Don't listen to USNEWS.
They don't solel base their rankings on academics. They base it on things like: faculty-student ratio, graduation rate, etc.

I agree that Stanford is the top school in overall academics, but they aren't in those non-academic factors.
