She located me on the facebook. We know each other for 18 years, but haven't seen each other since school.We've been school mates. And we're both 29, so we're not kids.
She used to look at me from the distance every time we,ve met.
I really like her, and asked her to do something together (drink,..), but she always had some excuse.
Last time she said "in its own time" when I asked her to go on coffee with me. And also said that, she didn't say no, she's just thinking.
She enjoys when I write her sweet names ( pumpkin, bee,star, beautiful..) I asked her if I should stop writing those sweet names, and she said " why? I don't complain". So she likes them. But she keeps me on a distance.
About 2 years ago she came out of a 9 year relationship, in which her boyfriend cheated on her and dumped her over phone message (SMS). Telling her that he loves someone else.
Her mother knows my mother and she told her that she just can't trust men. How can I show her that she can trust me? That I'm not the kind of man to do that to her. I don't want to hurt her.
I also came from a similar relationship of 7 years and she cheated on me. I told her my situation. So I know how she feels. I just would like to know how she feels towards me. Yesterday she did say that we will meet before christmas.
But every time I decide not to start conversation first, she emails me saying " hey, where are you?" or something similar.
And also, last year her father whom she loved died of cancer. I know she suffered a lot.
Is perhaps she so reserved because I haven't ask for her phone number in the beginning?
I just asked for her number yesterday and she gave it to me. I also asked her if I can call her not just text her, and she said that she is more used to texting.
And every evening I text her, she answers but then after two or three messages she stops and I don't hear from her any more that evening.
