Why is pre-marital sex wrong? Can someone please give a non-biblical answer?

I personally believe that sex should be reserved for marriage, being Catholic and all. I just want to hear reasons which are outside of the church's teachings on why sex before marriage should be avoided.


I want to know some reasons because I believe that generally, the teachings of the church has practical reasons and I would want to use these reasons for non-believers.
