why is obama so far behind the times when talking about global climate change?

That's why he's pushing so hard, because it's about control, not about saving the planet.

I mean, what's he gonna do when it comes out that the reputable (as in Noble nominated) scientists are now saying "OOps! My bad...seems it's a natural cycle involving sun spots!"
 
And several reputable scientists, even those who initially supported the idea of man-made global warming, have changed their minds and realize that it's a natural cycle.
