Why is Obama selecting a judge not based on the right principles?

The voices that have been echoing say that Obama is probably going to select a Supreme Court Justice who supports gay marriage (unconstitutional for the federal to make decisions on marriage), who supports 3rd trimester abortions (no one can deprived of life, liberty - Constitution), and who is a woman (the pick should be gender-blind).
