why is Nextel so slow in sending texts?

My parents got Nextel and I hate the delay in receiving and sending. I have a shawty phone [i580] any way to make it faster? I mean c'mmon....1 min to receive and 1 to send? wt! is up with that?

Any way to increase the speed and/or do something about it?

that's not really that amazingly slow.. plus Nextel sucks a*s so sorry your parents chose that.
