Now, before people start jumping down my throat, why not actually give it some honest thought, and PLEASE try to come up with a reasonable, thought-out response. Some sex offenders have done horrible things, some haven't ( I hardly find streakers to be a threat to society ), but I don't think Myspace's TOS says anything about sex offenders and in most places it isn't illegal for sex offenders to join a social networking site. Unless it is a violation of the terms of their probation/parole, they technically have just as much right to an account as anybody else.
Also, depending on one's definition of harassment it may be illegal according to Megan's Law:

Anyone who uses this information to commit a crime or to harass an offender or his or her family is subject to criminal prosecution and civil liability. Any person who is required to register pursuant to Penal Code section 290 who enters this web site is punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000, imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding six months, or by both the fine and imprisonment. (Pen. Code, § 290.46, subd. (h)(2).)
