My laptop will connect to the wireless internet and it'll work fine for a while, then suddenly it will come to a near stop. I say near stop because at this moment internet explorer shows that its loading and if I do a diagnose and repair on my connection it says there is no problem and that it is connected. I have also opened up my control panel and gone into my wireless card and did a diagnostic test and it fails at the internet IP ping test. Neither my xbox 360 nor itouch can connect either during these frozen moments. However, my desktop that is a wired connection works just fine all the time even during the frozen moments. My wireless router is about 4 years old and I was wondering if it is because my situation happens to routers when the get old or if it is more serious. I also have a Linksys WRT54GL router.
