Why is my puppy whining and how to make her stop?

you got to pay attention to her lol...... puppies are just like babies and you gotta pay attention to them all day everyday

I don't understand my puppy. she is 3 months old. she likes her crate and when i leave and lock her in it she doesn't cry at all. but when i come home and i'm doing something on the computer she will just look at me and whine and howl(shes a boxer). then ill give her a bone and she will chew on it but still whine. I don't know what to do to make her stop??
 
she wants lots of attention,she will grow out of it,but pick her up,pet her,or play in the floor with her a couple times a day
