Sometimes when im playing my Playstation 3 the fan seems to go really hard and make lots of noise. And it dosnt stop untill ive restarted it. It cant be overheating or anything because it sometimes happens with 10 minutes of playing and there's nothing behind it blocking the fan. When i restart it, it seems to work. But i dont wanna restart it everytime it makes loud fan noises. Help?

the engine is overheating, you can never tell it can't be overheating because its the engine. There must be something blocking the fan inside or something similar, make sure you're PS3 is in a room temperature.

I had that thing last night coz i forgot to take the cloth cover out before playing. Suddenly I heard an abnormal noise and checked and found out that the cloth is still on. I just stopped playing for 15mins and it's back to normal. There are 2 vents on the PS3. 1 at the back and one on the side. Make sure that you have at least 4 inches clearance between these vents and the wall close to it. There should be enough room for your PS3 to breathe. If your PS3 is inside a console table, take it out. The air inside it will get hot easily and the hot air will just get sucked in and out of your PS3 which can add to overheating problem.
