why is my mollie fish swimming like crazy at the glass??!?

i had a female mollie and she died, before she died he was fine...
i had two mollies..a male and a female...they both acted fine. then my female died and my male is going NUTS!! why?
 
check the water, it may have high ammonia or nitrates.if you cant take some water to pet smart and they will check it for free.
