why is my lexus gs300 (1998) warning lights still on after replacing a blown catridge...

...fuse? After replacing a blown catridge fuse the "VSCoff" and the" ABS" warning lights continue to stay on the dashboard. The Toyota house that did the repair said they did not know but that I need a new battery. could this be the problem.

Also, speaking of battery what kind of battery is best for this car given that i live in the south region or texas to be specific. I hear people talking about gel vs. flooded battery and its confusineg please help. Thank you in advance.
