I have a 1997 grand jeep cherokee. For the past week it stalls for no reason. It was stalling only when i would come to a stop, then always start right back up.
Brought it to my mechanic yesterday and he proceeds to tell me that these jeeps have a history of stall issues. He looked into my throttle body and it was caked with carbon and dirt?He ran a cleaner and sprared it out along with injectors.
It was running great until today. Now it stalled while i was driving, not just when i was stopped?
This time it wouldnt start back up.I tried 3 times, smelled gas,and i just trying for about 5 minutes.
It started up again and i drove to my mechanic and i just left it there with him to look at.Im waiting to hear from him to see if he found problem?
Ive heard the crankcase position sensor can cause this?
Has anyone been thru this before and what fixed it?
