i just bought a 95 civic dx 5speed and the guy said something about an outer bearing is not hook up right from the transmission, so it makes a grinding noise like a tire rubbing up on a fender. the guy also said he been driving like that for two month and had no problem with it yet(beside the loud noise). i mean it shift smoothly and drives fine but it only makes the noise while in gear and moving and it doesn't make that noise in reverse
the guy also said it should last awhile with the noise.
so does any one know if its a bad idea if i should be driving it for awhile?
can anybody describe how the outer and inner bearing works?
