It's on a 1996 chevy blazer with the 4.3L Vortec engine, and 4wd.
It slips in all gears and will sometimes take a while to shift, but it shifts into all gears before 3500 rpms, and reverse always works.
I noticed that it suddenly stops slipping when it's in Overdrive (above 50 mph), and has a lot more power than lower gears.
Does it sound like a bad torque converter, or does my transmission need to be rebuilt?
this is the third transmission to go into the blazer, and i bought it new 5 years ago
