Hello guys, i have a 98 Grand cherokee with the 5.9 liter v8 engine it has 121k miles and brand new tires. I had the tires balenced when i got them.
I noticed today while looking at them the front right tireis really wearing out quickly compared to the rest of the tires. You dont even need a tool to measure to see its wearing out, you can just stick your finger in the tread of it and compare it to the other 2 and you'll know its worn down alot more then the others. Those little hair wiggly things that are on new tires are all worn off on that tire the ones near the edge. The other tires they are all still there even the tread pattern looks different.
What would cause the right tired to wear out so fast like this ? The tired have only 2100 miles on them.
If i get the aligment done should i have the tires rotated also ? If the aligment comes back and it wasnt out of aligment then what ? I have no pull to the left or right when driving, but i will go get the alignment tomarow then because these tires were $550
I should add, its the outside of the right tire that is wearing out. The inside (closer to the engine) seems ok. The outside tho looks rounded
