I've taken my dog with me in the car at least once or twice a week since he was 4 months old. He's now over a year. Lately he's been whining when ever he gets in the car. He's not scared of the car. In fact he jumps right in, but once we get going he starts whining until we get wherever we're going. He only does it on the way there and not on the way back. Maybe he's just excited that he's going somewhere, usually the dog park. How can I calm him and get him to stop? He usually listens and I say "uh-uh" (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/uh%20uh) and he'll stop, but a few seconds later he's at it again.
