Ok....well first some background.....Ive got 5 dogs...(not that I ever wanted that many LOL....its a long story....
But they are all well taken care of and happy......
one of them though.....just acts.......really.....really....strange....He has ALWAYS been weird......'es the runt of the bunch......the smart one too....but kinda smart like rainman...LOL!!! Me and my ex used to get him to talk.....as in if youve ever seen those vids of the dogs that go "AWWWUUUVV WOOO"(I love you)...LOL!!! We used to be able to get him to do that all the time...He did it like a champ too....at least as good as any of the vids on youtube Id seen......None of my other dogs would even have a clue to try LOL!!!
He has always been skittish....He would NEVER even come up to my Ex-fiance.......but he would always come up to me.....now he will not even come up to me!!!
I have to actually grab the little guy if I want to pet him....then the whole time he is freaking out!!! He acts as though he has been abused or something.....however NOTHING could be farther from the truth, plus there has never been a time when he was alone with anyone else who could have hurt him.....I have noticed one thing......One of the other dogs seems very jealous of him.....Ususally when I come home the first thing that this dog does is growl and chase him off......perhaps this has taught him not to come to me? I must say though this has been going on for a long time....and it never seemed to effect him this bad....he would always come to me eventrually. Also sometimes he will come up beside me....but as soon as I notice him and speak to him he runs under the couch. I would imaging that perhaps he is just afraid of the other dogs (the one in particular)...but get food involved and he growls and barks like he fears no one LOL!!!
I truley dont know what to do...if this is 'cause of the other dog being mean to him......how do I stop it? I try yelling at him (the one being mean that is)......but it seems to do no good.....IF I show the the the one I am speaking of more attention to try to bring him out of his skittishness then will it not make the other one(s) jealous....causing him(them) to be mean to the little guy even more?
