Why is my dodge ram using so much oil?

I have a 2008 dodge ram 1500 with 8000 miles on it. I changed the oil 2000 miles ago and put mobil 1 15000 mile extended performance in it and I just checked it and it was just below the add mark. I would think the truck would be too new for problems like that.
btw its a hemi
 
its not the rear seal I JUST SPENT 6500 on my 08 it was the drivers side head gasket be carefull they should do a recall
 
my husband has a dodge, and while it's a great truck, it leaks oil from the rear seal. yours may have the same problem. he never sees oil under it and he parks in the same spot all the time, but he had that same problem and a mechanic checked it out for him and said that was the problem. it's extremely expensive so we just add oil every once and awhile and it does just fine.
 
its under warranty take it back and let them take care of it,my neighbor owns one and they had to re-do it for the same problem,there's been a few of them that have used oil but chrysler has been good about taking care of the problem,good luck.
