okay so i got a dalmation mollie fish about a week ago and for some reason in the last couple of days it has been hanging around the heater a lot. i thought it may just be cold so i turned up the heat more, but only about 2 or 3 degrees because i didn't want to stress the fish with a sudden change in water temperature. even after i turned the heat up a bit the dalmation mollie fish keeps getting really close to the heater. i normally wouldn't be concerned but i heard that the heaters can burn the fish.
i have plenty of hiding places in my tank and the mollie is by far the largest fish.
