Why is my car shutting off when I come to a stop?

I have a '01 KIA Rio. 2 weeks ago it overheated & I had to be towed. The next day I paid for a new radiator, new radiator hoses, & a new thermostat. It was vibrating really badly & the mechanic said I needed new spark plugs. The next day I got my routine oil change, new spark plugs & wires, & a new air filter. This morning at 2 stop lights, my car just turned off. I did get it to start back and it will stay on if I keep it in neutral with a little gas.. and it seems to be using gas rapidly.... so now why already just two weeks later, more problems... I'm stressed out!!
 
It sounds to me like a fuel pump problem.

With an 01 Kia you are going to be having problems as they start to wear out after 8 years.
