My car is a 1997 chevy cavalier z24.2.4 liter engine. It has about 133000 miles on it and just recently got an oil change. The knocking first started out as a ticking but has gradually turned into more of a knock sound. It does it when the car is idling and the more I accelerate the less you can hear it. When the car is warm the knocking can be pretty loud and I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas? Any possibilities on how long it might last me?
Okay well its definitely a upper engine knocking. Its coming from the top of the engine. Is it something that will have to be done very soon? Or can wait. I have no money right now to do anything and really need it to last me
