Why is my Buick lurching forward while braking, plus other erratic issues?

I'm going to give a little bit of history here, in case it makes a difference. I bought my 2005 Buick LeSabre Custom 2 months ago. It had just under 60,000 miles. Right before I bought it and SINCE I bought it, the dealership has replaced the catalytic converter THREE times, and the muffler the last time.

Now, a couple weeks after getting the car back, it died on my husband yesterday. He hadn't warmed up the vehicle (it was VERY cold), and had only driven about a mile from our home. It then wouldn't stay on without the gas being constantly applied and died while shifting. We put in some oil hours later (it needed TWO quarts), and we were able to drive it home.

On my way to work this morning, it was acting very strangely. If I ease up on the gas, it jerks and slows down dramatically. If I push on the gas, it takes a moment for it to begin speeding up. Also, I noticed that the heater fan is blowing high (which it was set for) while pushing on the gas, but it would blow low if I let off the gas....kinda crazy. THEN, when I pulled into the parking lot, the car lurched FORWARD while pushing on the brake.

I'm kinda scared to drive this home. Anyone have ideas of what could cause these things?
