why is my 99 jeep wrangler running at 5000 rpm when its idle?

ok i just got a k and n pro. intake and i also just insatlled some edelbrock headers into her ... it sounds like shes getting way to much air but theres no leaks ohhh btw i have the idle sensor disconected but then it just turns off... when its connected it rev to 5k rpm.... what do i do...help
