Why is my 98 Chevy s-10 stalling?

Before the truck stalls, the battery voltage guage starts to bounce back and forth between 8-14 volts. When the truck stalls, all of the gauges flicker out of control. I've noticed that this usually only happens when my stereo is on or if I have multiple accessories on. If I turn my stereo off and if I don't run any other accessories, the truck runs fine and the voltage stays around 14. I replaced my alternator a month ago, and my battery is only less than a year old. I am running a thousand watt amp powering two subwoofers. Would this just be a bad battery? Thanks for the help

The truck is a 1998 Chevy s-10, 4.3 liter v6
The stereo has ran off the same alternator with same amperage for a year with no problems, until now
