i've been having overheating problems in my 1994 Ford Taurus for a while. This past summer it seemed to be just a crack in the upper radiator hose. I replaced it, but it only minimized the problem. later I replaced the lower hose. Now the problem is worse then ever. I have to put almost a gallon of pre-diluted coolant in anytime i wanna make a trip longer then 30 mins. The car seems to go back and forth between staying within means, and overheating, and it seems to be inversely related the how my heater works. When my heater is blowing hot air, the engine stays cool, but when it is blowing cold, it seems to overheat, and it switches back and forth constantly even thought i'm keeping the heater on. It sounds like a fan of sometype that is kicking in and out, but i'm not sure. Any advice. (PS i already plan on replacing both hoses again, but i wanna get to the root of the problem so i don't have to replaces hoses every 6 months)
