My car started idling very low today out of nowhere. It has about 41,000 miles on it and is due for an oil change, but is only about 100 miles over. I was planning on taking it to Valvoline in the next couple of days. No error lights are on. The idle is x1000/rpm and it's sitting just a tiny bit above the 0 when I'm fully stopped. I estimate that to be around 100-200+/- RPM. It actually sits on top of the 0 line at times. It does this at stop signs, and in Park.
The car is not stalling or shuttering really, it goes up when I hit the gas and the car goes forward. It might barely jump at first, but that could be me over reacting and feeling like it's jumping because the idle is scaring me a little.
Also, if it makes any difference, I noticed that the RPM's don't change when I turn the a/c on or off.
Anyone ever experienced this? Any clue what I need to have checked out?
