my 2006 pontiac G6 GT is giving me problems while trying to crank it.. it acts like its gonna crank fine then the rpm falls to 0 and of course it doesnt crank. its gotten to the point where im having to push the gas to get it to crank at times and other times it cranks fine. could it b because of the bad gas a murphy usa?!
thanks! im thinking maybe thats whats wrong.. i just had my injectors cleaned a few months ago..
oh, and the rpms raise when cranking and it just falls to 0.. it never actually catches and cranks..

Im a little confused...when you say " cranking it" do you mean trying to start it? The RPM falls to 0.is this after it starts or does it stop trying to start?

If it isn't starting..then there's a possibility that you DO have some bad gas...most likely some water in with the gas. Best thing to do for that would be to fill it up a few times with higher Octaine gas from Shell, Exxon, or BP for a few tanks!

If it's starting..then dying out then it could be a few things...
1. bad gas- could be sucking up some water shortly after starting...causing the car to die out.
2. Bad fuel filter- sometimes the filter could be clogged up with residue from the tank ( from the gas station) or the filter itself could be colapsing in on itself after the car starts.
3. Clogged fuel injector- seems a little soon for a clogged injector but it is possible.
