Why is Mercury shown as blue on the periodic table?

This could be because it is a liquid at room temperature.
Mercury and Bromine are the only elements to be like this at room temperature.
 
Mercury is not blue. it's more of an orangey yellow planet.

i suggest you throw away that chart. it's not correct

Is bromine also shown in blue? In that case, because it is a liquid.
