mercury is considered malefic of itself. if paired with another planet can bring out the good qualities. why is it bad though unless paired with a helpful planet.
because some people r in for their own gain. so what if you have planet mercury in 5th or 7th house. is the OTHER side person gonna be negatively effected if this person acts out the negative side in a then three way relationship since it is associated with threes.

Jupiter can enchane lifting Mercurys communicative power. Does not make it best friends like Saturn and the Moon wich are also opposite ruling planets.
