Why is ''manhood' always questioned by people?

I wonder why..lets say, when a young boy has been raped, many questions come into context, as if he will be ''less man'' or ''gay'' once its older while when a young girl has been raped, she will always be a woman no matter what she does or happened to her..I think its silly to still tell somebody what role/way to live/lifestyle should have because of its sex, even if this trace to hundrerds of generations ago when the men had a role cause there was no other way known to survive in the world when humanity began, nowedays theres no reason to question a lifestyle on a base of how human life worked in the beginning or the way cro magnons behaved when humanity started, nowedays in XXI where things changed a lot, and theres for example gay/lesbian couples and families who do not need a person of the opposit sex to live their life plenty, i think its stupid to nowedays question a young kid, an adult or something about its manliness, people stereotyped everything, there was a time were sheeps used to worth more than a woman, people even stereotyped colors! (blue, pink..) I think its silly to keep doing this... im sorry for my english btw im 17 and not native speaker

It's called 'common fact'. A belief passed on so long by so many that it's become common place in our environment. Society is just that way, and only when people stop teaching their children that will the circle break and a new way of thinking be brought about.

You're right though, that's ridiculous, and the way people see it is always going to be scewed by their peers, family, lifestyle, culture, religion, and other parts of their life.
