Why is Larry King interviewing Ahmadinejad?

Is anyone watching this? It's clear Ahmadinejad's statements are ridiculous. Is there any reason for America to hear him out? He just answered Larry's question on the Holocaust with..."Let's assume there was a Holocaust...and, if there was a Holocaust, where did it happen, in Europe or Palestine? If it happened in Europe, why not give them land in Europe? He just referred to Israel as an unwanted guest in the Middle East. Our only interest is for peace in the Middle East and he clearly is not interested in that so why do we listen to him? Please if anyone knows of a reason we should encourage him to think he deserves our recognition, please let me know.
