Why Is it...?

Why is it that we the supporters...We the military families and soldiers are told that our views do not matter. Why is it that my belief and faith in my troops are disregarded by so many people. A thousand upon thousand soldiers stand up and tell you THEY are PROUD to fight over in IRAQ....... and their voices are drowned out by a familiar tone.

"War for Greed..." "Murder of Innocent people" ... "Whatever happens to them[ US soldiers], They deserve." "America is Doomed"... "America will suffer for this"

Since when did America begin to cheer at the death of the men who proudly server? Since when did America loose so much faith in our country? Makes me wonder if freedom of speech is worth protecting see how people use it.... One man claimed to be the voice of the fallen soldiers. Yet he had never seen combat. He was not even in the service and he knew no one over there. So tell me what gave him to the right to speak for that solider. Who was he to say what those soldiers believe in and what that soldiers gave his life for. That right is not extended to you, to myself or to anyone else.

Then we have to ask ourselves what does the news show? Uneventful things. Like Iraqi National Guardsman working with American Soldiers? Ever seen pictures of that? Or how about American soldiers rebuilding buildings? Ever see pictures of that? How about when rockets and bombs and ieds or landmines are cleared? Ever see pictures, hear about it? Wonder why? Cause stuff like that does not sell papers. Plain and Simple.

We are America. Despite your feelings towards Bush. There is a degree of respect that you own the President of the United States of America. There is a line to your free speech, a gentlemen

i dont think anyone has had the gall to say "they're getting what they deserve" but the truth is your opinions are disregarded because they are so heavily tainted with propaganda and nationalism that they dont even connect to the main idea anymore. You want to believe that your husband is over there fighting a noble and just war. He wants to believe it too...would it be as glamorous to say that they're over there shooting 16 year old boys in the head and widowing women who have three children to look after....No, it wouldnt. I sympathize with your idea of the noble and just war, but you have to look beyond your own little part in it and see it for what it really is, a WAR. People killing other people for their ideals or governments...that is anything but noble or just.

Tell me where are 16 year old boys getting shot int eh back of the head, where are we widowing so many woman at. YOu have yet to see IRAQ or that country. How can you speak of which you have not seen. No I don't want to believe this war is right and just. I don;t like my husband being over there and I would like to find cause for them to bring them home. but that is simply not the case do not speak for me or my husband or claim i am blind...

this is what I am talking about. who views are more tainted? And yes people have the gul to walk up to you and tell you "your going to wake up and find your husband dead." People have the gull to tell you "i don't care, they have no right to be there" People have the gull to take your yellow RIBBIONS DOWN...

This war is based on greed? (just a technical note, this isn't a war, it's a conflict; congress has to vote to approve a war, which has yet to be done since world war 2) We are fighting for the oil over there? If we wanted oil, we would have attacked Kuwait, which has billions of square miles of oil under its deserts; Or we could attack Saudi Arabia, one of the Middle East's strongest oil producers. But we don't. We attacked Iraq, why, because we felt threatened. Not for oil. The slogan, "war for oil", is a trite saying. Moreover, if we are now using Iraq as an oil source, why are our gas prices still high? One would assume the price of gas would be down to a buck a gallon with this new found source of oil?
