Why is it that such a large percentage of the Honda NSX cars were in bad accidents?

Corvettes are high performance cars, so are Porsches and Nissan 350Z too, but when I try looking around for a used NSX it seems that they have always been fixed up from total write-off accidents.

Why is it that so many Honda NSX cars have been in accidents (I mean percentage-wise, as a percent of the number of NSX cars on the road.) Does it have something to do with rear-wheel drive / mid-engline design being faulty?

I dont think it has anything to do with the car, more of a driver thing if you ask me. Many of my friends own an NSX and theirs are CLEAN!!! I guess since some people that buy them, think they are in a Ferrari and in fact its just a Honda and looks faster then it really is. So they get all Fast and the Furious on it and crash. Im sure Ferrari's and lambos out there also have a high rate of accidents but you wont here from it as much

Because the deadbeats that buy them think its just a Ferrari looking Honda with the same power as a civic, then they put their foot down and die from the shock of the power, therefore parking them up a tree
