why is it that people think that just because im black i should know how to dance?

and listen to what a majority of other black people do?

1) i hate dancing

2) i cant dance and if i do, im stiff

3) i have no rthym only when i play my sax

4) i hate going to clubs period. especially those named thick wit it lol

why do they think so

lool Same here. My friends would ask me to dances, you should have seen the shock on their faces when they saw me dance. I've got no rhythm. lol I've had people think that I was a great athlete because of that too so they elected me (against my will) to play for the class tournaments on Spirit Day. I BOMBED. I'm super slow. I've also had people ask me to be a lead singer in their band when they've never heard me sing (I'm tone deaf and can't carry a tune).

So I have zero tolerance for stereotypes. If anyone asks me why I talk or dress "white" one more time, I'll probably flip out.

Anyway, it's sheer ignorance and straight up stupidity when people actually think like this. How does the colour of my skin affect my brain enough to program it to only like one type of music. My skin doesn't give me special abilities to sing, dance, or be great at athletics. When people tan, you don't see them suddenly improve a bit in these areas either. It's not bad enough that some folk think this, but it seems like the majority of people think like this which is disgusting and really annoying at times.

Strange, dancing is about self-expression. It's effortless and natural, I don't see how anyone could hate it unless their idea of dancing is based off of what is displayed in raunchy music videos instead of what comes naturally to them.

It's because most black people know how to dance. I've never seen a black people who doesn't know how to dance. even little babies know how to dance. Then again ever black person or people in general are not the same.

I agree with (qυιяку ѕηαяк) there is no one way to dance. simply moving you feet back and forth is dancing.
even honey bees know how to dance. it's how they communicate.
