Why is it that many louder, talkative, outgoing people 'hate' quiet people who just...

...mind their own business? I've noticed that many, many of these types of people tend to act annoyed by quiet people and condescending around these people; sometimes it's obvious, other times it's subtle. I don't know why they would though seeing the quiet person is simply minding his/her own business. There's no reason to dislike them, but for whatever reason I notice a lot of these people do. I also notice these people get extremely annoyed and/or offended when a quiet person actually decides to say something worthwhile. Most of the time, they'll completely ignore the quiet person, give him/her a snotty look, and/or say something really rude--implying this person is worthless to their conversation.

Why do these things happen? Is there something quiet people do that aggravates these outgoing extroverts?
