Why is it that Christian martyrs are often discussed, but not martyrs of other faiths?

Often I'll hear people talk about the Christians who got thrown to the lions, or the way St. Valentine died, or other Christian martyrs, but no one ever mentions martyrs of other faiths, why is this?

Like Hypatia of Alexandria, who was dragged out by a Christian mob, and her flesh scraped from her body with abalone shells or leather strips, on the steps of the new church for teaching Greek philosophy and being heretic? Or Gwenc'lan who had his eyes gouged out for refusing to convert? Or Eyvindr Kinnrifi who had a metal bowl placed on his stomach and heated by coals until his stomach burst rather than agree to accept baptism?

Why is it these are never really spoke of?
Fine, why are they not discussed as widely?
