I am trying to lose a little bit of weight, not because i need to, just to make myself feel a lil better about myself. i always feel really determined to not eat junk foods but when tempted why is it soooo hard to resist?????
If u think its a stupid question dont waste your time leaving equally stupid answers! Leave it for the people who can actually answer a question like an adult...

Could be that your body is hungry there aren't many nutrients in junk food so your body will crave any food to get any shred of nutrients available, and lets face it in Society we're only ever tempted by 'junk foods' there aren't many food outlets that don't just offer pies pastries, muffins etc Try to make sure you fill up on proper homemade meals to see if if has a difference. Also it's Habit ex smokers are more tempted to a cigarette more than a non smoker I think it's the same with food. Needs alot of inner strength to resist

there is something about the combination of fat, sugar and salt that is just so good. and that is what most junk food comes down to.
I think that processed sugar and salt are addictive. so if you tend to eat these kind of foods regularly it is very difficult to give them up.
think of the reality tv shows like Survivor etc, their main problem was not having processed foods. it drives some people loopy!
I know I get obsessed with junk food when I am on a diet. maybe a small amount of what you fancy is better that giving up completely.

p.s. I agree with your statement regarding stupid questions :)

It is hard to avoid because the human body is designed to crave fat and sugar. In times when it was very difficult to find food, fat and sugar were needed as a way of getting large amounts of energy quickly.

But now, these foods are easily available and very cheap, so our brains tell us to eat them, and we do! and it's so easy. So we eat too much and put on weight.

I know this is unfair. Whatever anyone says, a big mac or fish and chis will always taste better than a sprig of broccoli.

Willpower is needed, but it's tough to stop eating things which taste so good!

good luck!

you need to find alternitive food.
When you're hungry - drink a big glass of water really quickly. Which will make you feel full. and yo won't really want to eat after this.

Whenever you get temptations, just think really hard about how great you're going to feel when you loose some weight. The feeling of success is better than the temporary feeling good food will give you.

It's hard if your friends eat junk food around you though - try to avoid these situations

Good luck
