Am I just stupid and are some people just unable to learn how to drive?
I took my first two hour lesson yesterday, and I felt like a panicked idiot. I learned how to drive, turn, stop, parallel park, perpendicular park, merge lanes, etc. I managed to "do" these...but when my instructor took me driving, I was so nervous that I was driving at like 15 mph, and kept braking out of panic. Every time a bicyclist went in front of me or was driving by a bus, I freaked out thinking I was going to kill us both. Even parking, I was TERRIFIED of nicking the cars parked in front and behind me. I don't have money to pay for damage!
I'm so shaky, and all the mirror checking, shoulder turning (my neck hurts LOL), I was petrified.
Am I a hopeless case? That was the first time I'd ever been behind the wheel.
