designer bait and food plot? seems to me the people telling me that my whitetails arent meeting their genetic potential are the same people who are trying to sell me a 30 dollar bag of acorns? i know nutrition matters. but have you ever heard of a year when there wasnt a single buck harvested over 4 points? i think it would take a massive environmental event to keep a deer from nourishing itself. be it from field corn or fallow grasses. so maybe the perfect diet will produce a little more mass, but i dont think it has as much to do with antler size as how big his daddy's rack was.
i mean. i'm 6'2" 200 lbs. and newell is 5'4" 118lbs. i dont think newell grew up in a place without protien and calcium rich food sources. and my diet has never been what you would call good. why would deer be any different.
