Why is Honda better than Ducati?

If Ducati is the Ferrari of motorcycles. Why is that Honda have won more motor GP championships. Also my cousin said ducati is overrated when it comes to making bikes. He said its the performance they give isn't a big deal because Honda bikes offer a similar MotoGP style but the materials are obviously not the same
