New York City spend 1.5 billion building a new Yankee stadium across the street from the old stadium and it has a SMALLER capacity than the old stadium. People say having the team is good for the economy. I don't see it. The area around the stadium is a pit. Drugs, crime, boarded up buildings etc. I fail to see the benefit of having a professional sports team. Maybe you can straighten me out.
