classes based on what they hope to be after high school?

I, for example, am going to a monastery after I graduate high school, and yet when I say geometry is of little importance of me, I'm told I'm lazy and just don't want to get an education. Yet, when I explain that I'm going to a monestary, no one seems to say a word about the importance of geometry, even though, just five minutes ago they were trying to drill its importance into my head.

"Also, you can't possibly be 100% sure of being a monastery... if you can't escape you're comfortable zone, then you're not setting yourself up for the real world after high school. Try new things, attain new interests."

Oh, yes, I can. I am a religious fanatic.
Natalie: sei una ritardata.
And also "Natalie", there is a real reason as to why someone would join a monastery, perhaps because he's gay and can't accept it? Or perhaps monastic life is a way to escape the "real world".

I answer only to God.
"That's why colleges still enforce some general education. To help you explore other things."

Hmm... seems pointless to bring up college, after all, I will never step foot in one.

They want you to know the basics, just in case there is a minuscule chance of you not doing what you plan to do. Even college students change their major 3 or 5 times.

And You never know, geometry make come in handy one day. For instance, I learned nearly all the bones and muscles of the human body in Elementary school, and then in PE they asked us to name our bones, and I went up and did it, and saved the whole class from running the mile. (Mind you,
I want to become a Dancer/Artist)

Because high school is usually to focus in on general education.

Also, you can't possibly be 100% sure of going to a monastery... if you can't escape you're comfortable zone, then you're not setting yourself up for the real world after high school. Try new things, attain new interests.

Albert Einstein didn't find his love of math until he attended a math class, you know.

QUIT WHINING! :)

because when your in high school you have certain classes that you have to take just like everbody else. it doesnt matter if its important to you or not. english isnt important to me, i think its useless, but i still take it because i cannot take any other classes without it or get my degree without it. you just have to do what you have to do and deal with it
