Why is it that a "good character award" actually seems to be more of a "popularity award". A total jerk received a good character award not to long ago and she just didn't deserve it. (Trust me, she didn't). There is a guy in my grade though that is as shy as anyone can get and yet is not afraid to stand up for what's right. He's by no means popular but no one ever has anything bad to say about him. Why can't people like him receive awards like that? I know that i'm the 1,000,000,000th person to adress this matter. but is there any other reason rather that it being popularity? It seems the teachers play along with these "popularity contests" as well at times, which i find ridiculous. I dont know, maybe i'ts just me. But still, I just don't get why the most deserving people get nothgin while the total jerks seem to get everything. Is that just an aspect of life?
