I have been a long time asp.net programmer (since 1.0 days) and I have recently started to appreciate the open source community. I want to take my applications and move them from asp.net to php. I find that php has more sources for documentation and can do everything I need. However when I try to find documentation on migrating from asp.net to php it all comes up with the reverse migration. Am I missing something? PHP seems to be much faster, at least it is on the pages I have migrated already. Lately I have seen quite a few high end sights that have the aspx extension...so is there someone other than microsoft pushing .net? Is there any reason for me not to re-code my .net programs to php5? Linux hosting seems to be more reliable...
