Why is Crosby always whining and crying? Why can't he be smiley and happy like Ovechkin?

Why does Malkin get more points than him when he gets to play "the Crosby role" on the top line and powerplay quarterback? Why do the Penguins have a better record when he's injured than when he's playing? How can he be the NHL MVP when he's not even the Penguins' MVP? Why don't all young hotshots whine to the media and refs as much as he does? Why does Crosby get a big fat 90 million dollar endorsement deal from Reebok when there are clearly better players out there than him?
MRS C- You have got to be kidding me!!!!! Crosby...CRY??? I doubt there's any other player in the league who talks to the refs more than him and bitches about it after the game to the media. I'll admit it's not as bad as it was during his rookie season, because back then he was used to being pampered by the refs in the OHL, but he still whines a lot. It's very annoying to see it. All star players get keyed on and pushed off their game, but ya gotta learn to deal with it and fight through it.
Erica-

First of all, don't go all naive on me. We all know if Crosby was pushed out of his natural center position he wouldn't do as well. Also, on the PP, Malkin played down low while Crosby played off the side boards. This gave Crosby the play making options and also the opportunity to rack up points.

His injury is the best thing that could have happened for NHL fans. We all now know that he IS replacable for the Penguins and therefore, NOT the NHL's most valuable player since the team can do just fine without him in the lineup. Also it brings to light the great supporting cast Crosby has to work with. There will be no more talk about how he makes a whole bunch of mediocre players around him much better, because frankly, that's not the case. Malkin has excelled with him out, because now he gets the chance to be the go to guy, the man who everyone wants to get the puck to. Sykora and Malone's numbers have also gone up.
So in reality, Crosby does not actually "make everyone around him better." It's just a dumb cliche expression the media likes to use for him. If Ovechkin got hurt, then everyone would see how bad the Caps are without him. It would be much much different from what happened to Pittsburgh, because Ovechkin is truly very. very valuable to that team.

Ummmmmm, I'm just gonna go ahead and say that Sidney Crosby is the best player in the NHL. That should answer most of your questions.

Erica: "masochistic"?? lol, aren't masochists people who like to hurt themselves (or be beaten)? You're saying they like torchering themselves by asking stupid questions and then getting virtually owned over the internet? lmao

Why are people constantly asking bitter tirade-filled questions about a player they obviously can't stand? Masochistic, are you?

- FACT: Before Crosby was injured, he had more points than Malkin did.
- FACT: Malkin stepped up his game and is averaging a higher points-per-game percentage now than when Crosby was in the lineup. Malkin has the greatest percentage of total player points of all the Pens' players, so he is the biggest contributor. Personally, I am OVERJOYED the Pens have stayed afloat with Crosby out. However, this is the first season they have won games with him out.
- FACT: When Crosby wasn't injured, he and Malkin both played on the top line and on the 1st power-play unit. Gonchar is the power-play quarterback. (In my opinion, he's the best PP QB in the NHL.)

The answer to the following questions would be OPINIONS, not facts:
- "How can he be the NHL MVP when he's not even the Penguins' MVP?" (The Hart Trophy selection is based on the votes (and thus opinions) of many people. Not everyone has the same opinion as you.)
- "Why don't all young hotshots whine to the media and refs as much as he does?" (Unless you've invented a whine-o-meter.)
- "Why does Crosby get a big fat 90 million dollar endorsement deal from Reebok when there are clearly better players out there than him?" (If Reebok finds Crosby more marketable, it's THEIR business. While Crosby's talents are certainly a part of his marketability, Reebok isn't having him endorse their products solely based on his talents. So if there are better players they might not necessarily be as marketable.)

Because when Ovie has a nice pretty girlfriend Sid is stuck with this Pittsburgh trash.
jk...jk.

Seriously?
I've never seen Sid whine and cry. He always has that same dorky childish smile. But hey, I could be wrong, right?
